This cake could be inspired by any recipe of grandmother’s cake. Our version, as well as being simple, includes two ingredients that match very well: lemon and poppy seeds. The lemon is a citrus that gives a very refreshing touch to our meals and in pastry fits great. Poppy seeds are a good source of protein, minerals and dietary fiber.
Ingredients
For 6 people
- 180 g of Tritordeum flour
- 3 eggs
- 100 g of butter
- 40g of sugar
- 1 small bag of yeast
- Juice of 3 lemons
- Poppy seeds
Process
- Mix the sugar and eggs in a bowl.
- Add the flour, the yeast and the melted butter.
- Mix until getting homogeneous dough.
- Add the lemon juice and poppy seeds and mix well.
- Pour everything in a mold greased with oil.
- Bake for 30-40 min at 180 °.
